About Kazu

The beauty of Miyajima cannot be
fully captured in a photograph alone.

The moment you cross the sea.
The breeze flowing through the forest.
The prayers and culture that have been
passed down for over a thousand years.

I want to capture not only the scenery,
but also the atmosphere and emotions
that live within this island

01

Why I Started Miyajima Photo Experiences

I still remember the first time I visited Miyajima after moving to Hiroshima.

The excitement of crossing the sea by ferry.
The deer living alongside nature.
The culture and history carefully preserved over generations.

Every part of this island moved my heart.

I realized that Miyajima’s beauty exists today because so many people have protected and cherished this place for over a thousand years.

That is why I wanted to share this island with the world through photography.

I hope the photographs you take home inspire someone new to discover Miyajima someday.

Why “Sacred Nature”

Japan is home to many beautiful places.

But Miyajima has a sense of time and atmosphere that can only be experienced here.

Deer live freely among the people and nature of the island.
Beside them, prayers and traditions that have continued for over a thousand years are still part of everyday life.

Nature, people, and spirituality exist together in harmony.
I call this unique atmosphere “Sacred Nature.”

Unlike the energy of Tokyo or the elegance of Kyoto, Miyajima has a quietness of its own.

It is this feeling—not only the scenery—that I want to preserve through photography.

NATURE

The sea, the mountains, and the forests that surround Miyajima.
Pure and ever-changing.

Culture

Shrines, traditions, and the history that have shaped this island.
A legacy passed down through generations.

People

Your story, your emotions, and your connection to this sacred place.
The moments that make your journey unforgettable.

My Approach to Photography

I learned photography at a bridal photography studio and have continued capturing portraits for many years.

During a session, I guide you with gentle direction, adjust poses when needed, and look for the moments when you appear at your most natural and beautiful.

Creating beautiful photographs.
And preserving the person you truly are.

I value both.
