We understand that travel plans can change. To keep our booking process fair and ensure that each photoshoot can be properly prepared, the following cancellation and rescheduling policy applies to all confirmed bookings with Miyajima Photo Experience.
Cancellation
If you need to cancel your photoshoot, the following cancellation fees will apply:

Cancellation fees are calculated based on the total amount of your confirmed booking, including any options or additional services included in your reservation.
All cancellation deadlines are based on Japan Standard Time (JST) and are counted by calendar day.
A cancellation is considered received when we receive your cancellation request by email.
Rescheduling
We understand that travel plans may change.
One rescheduling request may be accepted without a rescheduling fee, subject to availability.
If a rescheduled booking is subsequently cancelled, 100% of the total booking amount will be non-refundable.
Additional rescheduling requests may be treated as a cancellation and a new booking.
Weather
Light rain does not automatically mean that a photoshoot will be cancelled. Miyajima can be beautiful in many different weather conditions, and we will discuss the best approach with you when necessary.
If you choose to cancel because of rain or the weather forecast while the photoshoot is still able to proceed safely, the standard cancellation policy above will apply.
If severe weather, official warnings, ferry disruption, or other conditions make the photoshoot unsafe or impractical, we will first try to reschedule your session.
If rescheduling is not possible during your stay, we will discuss the available refund options with you based on the circumstances and any non-refundable arrangements already made for your booking.
Late Arrival
If you arrive late, the photoshoot will normally still end at the originally scheduled time.
A late arrival does not qualify for a partial refund or an extension of the photoshoot.
If the delay is significant and the photoshoot can no longer reasonably take place, it may be treated as a same-day cancellation.
Cancellation by Miyajima Photo Experience
If we are unable to provide your photoshoot for reasons within our control, we will first offer an alternative date or, where appropriate, an alternative photographer.
If neither option is suitable, you will receive a full refund of the amount you paid.
In this case, no PayPal processing fee will be deducted from your refund.
Refunds
Any eligible refund will be processed through PayPal to the original payment method.
Please note that PayPal transaction fees paid at the time of booking are not refunded to Miyajima Photo Experience when a payment is refunded.
Therefore, for cancellations requested by the customer, any non-refundable PayPal processing fee may be deducted from the refund amount.
If the cancellation is made by Miyajima Photo Experience for reasons within our control, no PayPal processing fee will be deducted and you will receive a full refund of the amount you paid.
Refund processing times may vary depending on PayPal and your original payment method.
